Long time.

Just letting those of you that watch me/read this that with the end of the semester, there will also come several new pieces. It will also bring, hopefully: good news, a new tattoo, some money and a foot in the door, Scion antics that are comic-worthy (I'm behind on these), a new TV which will in turn bring about an overhaul of my room (there is a reason for this, short answer being "My TV is gigantic and a waste of valuable space"), and hopefully some ambition and motivation.

This past summer was hopeless and a huge disappointment in the personal improvement department. I had spent all spring semester being crazy ambitious: I was gonna work out and go to the gym and lose weight...I was gonna draw daily and pop out comics and character concepts constantly...I was gonna work more and save my money...I was gonna go to the beach every day off that I had, every single chance...I was gonna clean the fuck out of my room and redecorate and get a desk finally and etc...I was gonna do a lot that would improve my stupid life.

I did one thing of those, one. That one thing was the cleaning the fuck out of my room, which required help. My friend had to come over and help me literally remove EVERY SINGLE THING from my room (excepting clothes hanging in the closet and the stuff on shelves...and that monstrosity of a television). During that process, we filled two and half black contractor's garbage bags (they use these in construction) and a box of paper recyclables, and then used a Shop-Vac to vacuum the floor. There was an epic "dusting" which was really just clearing the cobwebs up, and then a reassembly which meant that boxes were consolidated and shoved under my bed, and some other organizing in drawers and on shelves, etc. I dropped a lot of clothes in the donation bins, gave some t-shirts to my brother, and acquired a cheap, used, but incredibly functional and needed bookshelf for the mass of books and manga and comics that were taking up way too much space elsewhere. I still needed to put some under the bed.

Now try to imagine what my room looked like before the overhaul. It was horrible. It was like those houses you see in the news every now and then where the mother winds up arrested for child abuse because of the decrepit conditions. I had a mouse. I still do actually, but he's rather rare to appear and I kind of like him.

My room is now a wreck again, but not even close to where it was before the Big Clean. I do really need to go through it again, when the semester is done.

I don't know why I went on that tangent, but right.

That was all I did from my list of SHIT I NEED TO DO. I hit the beach a few times, got a nice tan, swam once or twice before the jellyfish appeared. Nothing grandiose like I had planned. Of course, if I had a car and license and a willingness to show my body while not in the company of friends, that would have been different. And we went to Otakon, which was amazing, but a last-minute decision. And and the Olympics! Always makes me feel hopeful and optimistic, always has and always will.

But that's all me just bitching and complaining. I, right now, have a turnaround to complete for tomorrow, and a whole slew of other work that I just can't make myself do. I felt a pang of motivation before...so the turnaround will be done, as well as a story rewrite (mostly, anyway). I only have one week left for this shit.

Uh, the point of all that was just to tell you people that there is art on the way XD and that I want to force myself to make this winter vacation as productive as I had wanted the summer to be (despite it being a lot shorter).

So, we'll see.
